Does anyone have info about George Anthony's detective experience?

How long was he in law enforcement? As a patrol officer and as a detective? I believe he knows darn well Casey "accidentally" overdosed and suffocated Caylee with duct tape. Why does everyone assume "an accident that snowballed out of control" involved accidental drowning, not accidental overdose?
