How do we go about getting down debt?

I just wanted to know the best way for my boyfriend and I to get down on our debt. I got quite a few rude answers before. we got in debt during a time of unemployment but both are now working. We have a combined income of 29000 after taxes. We are about 4000 in debt from various medical and credit card bills. I did not mention In my previous post that we are both full time college students with about a year and a half left. Other people said we are well below the poverty line and feel sorry for my two month old child. Are we really doing that bad? I've heard the snowball method is good but what about those interest rates? A lot of people are telling us to live with our parents but we don't have that luxury
