What's a good pesticide for pumpkins?

I've got a single row of pumpkins 600 feet long. They emerged from the ground in the last week, so they are fairly small. Just 2 or 4 leaves. I'm starting to see alot of grasshoppers. The row of pumpkins is right next to an acre of corn. I have a jug of permethrin and another container of carabyl (Sevin). Which should I use, or should I use both on the pumpkins?
