Is transhumanism the new religion of the new millennium?

it seems very dangerous to me and people are blindly going along with these ideas, it will lead to a elite class of supermen with bionic body bits ruling over us, i dont think for a minute that these benefits will be given to the average joe among us so the overall benefit is only those at the top. it will undermine our freedoms and democracy because people are no longer equal !
