What does Deleuze mean by "Control society"? Is he right?

I have to write a 1000 word essay on this but am having difficulty understanding what Deleuze means by 'control society'. I am only meant to be looking at his work "Postscript on Societies of Control". What I am having trouble understanding what exactly the "crisis" is in enclosed environments, what he means by modulation and the corporation. I am trying to see the big picture, how everything fits together but I am struggling. Yes I have, Googled and looked at journal articles, but I need someone to dumb it down for me. Also, I have no idea how to show if he is right/wrong to see that contemporary society as an emerging control society. And please, if you have no idea or are just guessing don't worry about answering!!
